The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly changed quickly, forcing our districts and schools to be more flexible than ever before. Managing student attendance can be cumbersome or take too long. We, at Aeries, have seen a trend of schools creating specialized programs and moving groups of students into these attendance programs to best meet their needs. Until now, schools have had to move each student, individually, from their current attendance program to the new program. We understand that this could be overly laborious for staff members, and we are here to help. We are excited to announce the Mass Update Attendance Enrollment!
This new page helps move groups of students into and out of attendance programs with ease. The Mass Update Attendance Enrollment will be available at the school level. Plus, it includes many options for selecting students. Users will now be able to note enter/leave dates, as well as reasons.
Short-term quarantines can cause an entire class or team of students to be placed on independent study. With a few clicks, this can be reflected.
Additionally, teacher and staff shortages may occur due to illness or quarantine, forcing schools to move all their students to independent study. The new feature will allow the move to be done with ease.
Other examples could include moving groups of students to credit recovery or disciplinary alternative programs. Whatever your specific need is, Aeries is here to make the process easy! Just another way we are helping you to serve students.
