After an extensive search, we are pleased to announce the newest member to the Aeries team, Jason Strong! Jason hit the ground running in June, participating in multiple executive, strategy, and departmental meetings, and connecting with many members throughout our Aeries team.
In this newly-formed leadership position, Jason brings our Product Development (Dev) and IT Operations (Ops) departments closer, with a focus on integrated security practices throughout the whole product development lifecycle.
President Brent Lloyd says, “Prior to this new job position being posted, Aeries Software entered a period where we meticulously evaluated the progress of our NextGen platform and the strategy we had in place to roll it out to customers. We knew we needed a leader that could help get us on track and ensure our customer voices were heard in crafting the best possible roadmap and rollout strategy. It is clear already that Jason has all of the skills and past experience that will set him up to fully leverage the wonderful team we have built while guiding them towards the new skills and aptitudes that will level up our company, products, and services.”
Jason understands the importance of ensuring compliance, maximizing security, protecting user data, and outpacing competition thanks to his extensive experience. He comes to Aeries from Molina Healthcare where he served as the Vice President of IT. Prior to that, he was a CIO and VP of Enterprise Digital Transformation at Magellan and Vice President of Digital Transformation Technologies at Cognizant Technology Solutions. Additionally, he has an MBA from the University of Phoenix, a BFA of Fine Art from Arizona State University, and has studied executive leadership at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. To top it all off, Jason is also a certified SAFe Product Owner, Product Manager, and Scrum Master.
He has already shown how much he truly values the perspectives and needs of our Customer Experience, Operations, and Sales and Marketing divisions when crafting a collaborative product vision and roadmap that represent our customers’ needs.
Jason shares our mission and is dedicated to improving student success and outcomes, while having fun along the way. He pledges to bring customer centricity to his role. “We will positively impact student success through processes and tenets like design thinking. We will always empathize with our users, no matter who they are, and understand how and why they use our products and how we can make their lives easier through thoughtful design and functionality.”
In just one short month, Jason’s impact on fostering transparent communication and collaboration with our divisions has been evident. We are excited to now have a fully-rounded out Executive Leadership Team to lead us through the journey ahead. Once again, welcome to the team, Jason!
