Dear Aeries Friends & School Partners,
As we all wrap up the 22-23 school year, it’s natural to look back on the prior year to examine how far we’ve come and what we plan for the future. This year, like many of you, we’ve introduced new faces to our teams and said goodbye to others, but always with the same sense of purpose and passion for education that has been our hallmark for nearly three decades.
Many of you are familiar with the history of Aeries, starting with its founding in 1995 by my grandfather, Jerry Lloyd. Since that time, we’ve grown to more than 125 team members, each sharing that original commitment to education technology – to better the lives of the students, parents, communities, and schools we serve. Our team remains committed to Aeries NextGen and delivering high-quality products that meet the needs and expectations of our customers, to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and to collaborating on our product vision and roadmap.
To fulfill these commitments, we recently flew a new position here at Aeries: Vice President of Product Development & Engineering, which we hope to announce before we return to school this fall. We believe that this role will elevate both Aeries’ products and the company as a whole. This new team member will tie together education, engineering, and innovation, and we’re excited for where our next Eagle will take us.
We’d also like to take this opportunity to celebrate our large and talented team, who are essential to our culture and future growth. Across our four divisions, Customer Experience, Sales & Marketing, Product & Engineering, IT & Operations, we are honored to work with individuals of unparalleled talent and expertise. In addition to their myriad certifications, advanced degrees, and credentials, more than two-thirds of Aeries staff members have worked at a school district. They understand and deeply appreciate your challenges and responsibilities, and they are fellow travelers on this journey of education.
In the coming weeks and months, you can expect more information about some of these integral team members (in-depth profiles on many of our Eagles) and on our plans for innovation and improvement. Together with this amazing team, I look forward to continuing our legacy as the best student information system on the market. Finally, as we head into summer with joy and excitement, I welcome you to reach out to me personally with any questions.
With gratitude and excitement for our future,
Brent Lloyd
