We at Aeries believe in innovation, growth, and development. The importance of an IT VP within an IT organization is clear! That’s why we’re pleased to announce that Jim Mallory has been appointed as our brand new Vice President of IT.
Jim will lead all internal and external IT efforts of Aeries Software. Specifically, Jim will lead all efforts related to the Aeries Cloud Hosting Infrastructure, client-facing and internal security efforts, budget management, internal hardware and software management, and personnel management thereof.
Jim has extensive experience in helping organizations scale up and out for technology and for business operations. He’s helped organizations as an executive leader across multiple industries, including education. Most recently, he helped lead a medium-sized defense company with its technology innovations, as well as leadership of its cybersecurity and administrative groups.
President Brent Lloyd said, “While this is a brand new role within Aeries, we believe the timing aligns perfectly with our strategic initiatives related to the future of Aeries. Jim’s background and experience in his career, particularly within EdTech, will ensure he focuses on the needs of our customers from a security and infrastructure standpoint.”
Jim plans to provide awareness on how the IT and Security teams are playing an important role as our company transitions to Aeries Next Gen.
Jim is excited for this new role, saying, “I have a passion for seeing students succeed. Aeries is well-positioned to help continue to enable and empower student success. I want to be part of a winning team that knows where it’s heading, knows how to get there, and knows what it takes to win. I believe Aeries has all of that!”
Outside of work, Jim enjoys family time, traveling, and golf. Additionally, he’s a volunteer with Team Rubicon, a veterans’ based disaster relief organization.
We know that Jim will work hard to provide you – our customers – with the best IT experiences possible, particularly with our Next Gen product. To learn more about Next Gen, visit www.aeries.com.
